Stocking Units of Measure
MyWrightStock offers the ability to stock items in a different Units of Measure than they are purchased in from Wrights Dental. Items are purchased and delivered from Wrights Dental in Eaches.
Every item in the system is assigned a stocking Unit of Measure. The base Unit of Measure for items in a delivery, whether it is just one physical item, or a box of 100 gloves, is considered an EACH - meaning one. You can use an alternative units of measure to configure how you want to store and issue items out of the inventory.
Where an admin has configured products to have a different stocking unit, when receiving an item from a delivery you may need to break the products down into individual Items, Groups of items or something else. If you are unsure on how to break down a product, please contact your admin. An admin may also want to add stocking instructions to the product configuration to help.
Change Stocked Item Unit of Measure
Admin users can change the Stocking Unit of Measure, and add Stocking Instructions.
A Unit of Measure is assigned to an item on the Goods Receipt tab in the product's maintenance page. Go to Products page and find an item using the search search bar or by using one of the filter_alt filtering tools available. Click on a product row to navigate to the product's maintenance page.

Product Maintenance Page
Stocking Unit of Measure can be changed in the Goods Receipt tab. This is specific to how you store and issue this product at a selected location. When choosing a unit other than Eaches, you need to define how many of the new unit of measure come from 1 Each.
See example
1 x Hygoformic Adaptor H6 comes as a pack size of 10 from Wrights. The delivered box (containing 10 individual items), is classed as one Each on delivery. If you place an order for 1 of these from Wrights, you will receive 1 Each, which contain a total of 10 individual items within.

You always issue and store this product in groups of 2. To represent this, on the product's maintenance page change the Stocking Unit of Measure from Eaches to Groups of individual items, and then choose Groups as your stocking unit. Then, next set the Groups per (delivery) Each quantity to 5 (because 1 Each, 10 items, converts to 5 groups of 2 items). When changing the quantity, the help text underneath the input field will give an indication of how each delivery unit will be broken down.
