Areas

Areas represent any space where stock is held. They can be used to segment large rooms into smaller sections, alternatively an Area can represent the whole central stockroom. An Area will contain Bins where stock is placed.

The Areas page is accessible to users with Admin privileges and will only display areas for the selected location.

Area Management

Go to the Areas page from the settings Configuration Menu, located in the top-right corner.

You can view, create, edit edit or deletedelete areas for a selected location. When you change a location, the areas list will refresh automatically.

You can also filter the list using of the filter_alt tools available or use the View toggle to control what you want to see/hide in the list.

Add Area

To add a new Area select the New button.

Enter the new Area name and press Create. The name has to be unique to the location.

Note

An area can only be deleted if there are no Bins linked to it. You must first change all the 'Default Bin' options for the stocked products to a different bin, then delete the associated bins and then you can delete the area.
